The National Institute of Military Justice is the country's only non-governmental organization dedicated solely to the study and improvement of the military's justice system. NIMJ members include prominent law professors and practitioners, as well as leaders of think tanks and non-profits. Membership is by invitation only. NIMJ is a registered non-profit corporation in the District of Columbia.
The Orders Project is a non-partisan program created by the NMIJ to assist military personnel in understanding their options when faced with orders they believe may not be legal.
When the legality of an order is unclear, The Orders Project provides resources and connects service members with legal counsel they can trust. Don’t face difficult decisions alone.
